The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Best-selling young adult author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
A spokesman for the firm said: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was made after an inquiry regarding reports of conduct deemed unsuitable directed at women.
The firm did not confirm the reasons for its decision, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
An Illustrious Publishing History
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over more than 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
A number of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
To date, he has released in excess of 40 works combined, which features a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
