Trump Business Attempted to Hire Nearly 200 Employees on Work Permits in 2025

Donald Trump’s corporate entity accelerated its recruitment of foreign workers on temporary visas this period, while his government was placing obstacles for other businesses wanting to do the identical, an analysis published recently stated.

According to information from the US Department of Labor, the business sought to hire at least nearly 200 overseas employees in 2025 for temporary positions at the US president’s Florida property, two golf clubs and his winery in Virginia.

In total, the business sought to hire over 560 overseas workers over the five years the former president has been in the presidency, from 2017 to 2021 and during 2025.

Notably, Trump was questioned by certain in the GOP this week for remarks defending the necessity for overseas employees when a company was unable to find people with “specific talents” to fill particular roles.

“You can’t just say a nation is coming in, going to invest billions to construct a plant, and going to take people off an jobless roster who have been unemployed in five years, and they’re going to start making their missiles. It doesn’t work that well,” he stated to a host after it was implied that overseas employees lower the wages of US workers.
